Cultural Tours Cicciolina’s Italy
On March 1, 2025, our travel company, Parnassos.dk, rented the entire Capitoline Museum in Rome for an evening for our guests, followed by a dinner on the museum’s rooftop terrace and restaurant.
In connection with this, we contacted Ilona Staller, with the stage name Cicciolina, and asked if she would be our guest of honor. We were thrilled when she a few months later said yes to our request.
For the evening, we had agreed that I would pick her up in the lobby of a nearby hotel. And there she was sitting over a glass of wine with her assistant, Francesca Missori – immersed in a conversation with one of Italy’s senators, a former colleague whom she had coincidentally run into.
Cicciolina, actress of erotic movies, party founder and parliamentarian, has been married to the artist Jeff Koons for a number of years, with whom she has a child. A life lived in full.
Over the past year, we have developed a friendship. We were thinking aloud one evening over dinner. What about offering Cicciolina’s Italy to her large fan base? What about arranging trips to Italy’s many attractions, knowing how easily it is for her to open doors that remain closed to us mere mortals?
Below is the trip Cicciolina and Francesca are offering. It has been a great pleasure to have been of assistance with all the practicalities in this connection. If you want to experience an Italy that not many people know in the company of an icon, then read on.
Kind regards
Erik Bach Christophersen
Unlike a physical product, a trip is only complete when it’ss over.
Changes will therefore occur and this is also desirable. From the time our trips are offered on the website to the trip itself, there is usually a 6 – 9 months in between. It would be quite unusual if an offer did not appear during this time that would be a obvious improvement to the overall travel experience. However, significant changes to the overview below will not occur.
All our trips are based on our guests wanting to join us on new adventures. This is your guarantee that we will strive, to the best of our ability, to ensure that you get a once in a lifetime experience – every time.
We leave Viterbo to go back to Rome, with a detour to a Terme. Monday evening wine tasting and exhibition celebrating Cicciolina’s life.

The official start of our journey is set for 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 28th at the Ponte Sisto bridge in Rome, where we board our own Hop-on-Hop-off bus. (Another bus will pick up your bags, and continue north a few hours later).
The hop-on bus takes us to the many attractions of the Eternal City. The Colosseum, a symbol of Roman engineering. The Roman Forum provides an insight into the life and politics of ancient Rome. St. Peter’s Basilica, an architectural marvel. The Pantheon, with its impressive dome, is a testament to Roman engineering. The Trastevere district with its charming streets.
But not only the main attractions. We also offer our own little “secret” from a not very well-known part of Rome.
We then take our bus from Ponte Sisto to Viterbo, the “city of the popes”. We arrive in the city after an hour’s drive. After checking into our hotel for two nights, we have our dinner in the city, inspired by the cuisine of the Roman Empire.

We will set aside our morning of Sunday, March 1st for Viterbo, this unique and charming town.
We will visit the sumptuous Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, home of Prince Alessandro Farnese, who created a beautiful renaissance garden with an unparalleled view of the entire Roman landscape from the Casina del Piacere.
Then we will visit the Pleasure Chapel, which is an example of an Italian garden based on perfect geometric shapes, where man lives in harmony with nature – and hunts in the woods, as the prince used to do. For our day, we have allied ourselves with an author who has written a book about Italian gardens and parks.
We will also see the chapel and the antique furniture of the Villa Farnese, which are almost otherworldly.
Sunday after lunch we will continue by bus to Civita di Bagnoregio, a breathtaking picturesque town, known for its spectacular location on a cliff by the Tiber River.
The town is often referred to as “the dying town” due to its fragile structure and the constant erosion that threatens its existence.
Civita di Bagnoregio was founded by the Etruscans. The town’s unique architecture includes medieval palaces, churches and beautiful squares, all marked by the region’s characteristic travertine stone.
The most prominent building is the Church of San Donato, located in the town’s main square and housing several works of art. Civita di Bagnoregio is also known for its spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and countryside.
In the evening, we have teamed up with a chef and archaeologist who will serve an authentic Etruscan dinner. And our host? None other than Cicciolina herself. After an undoubtedly memorable dinner we take the bus back to our hotel in Viterbo.
We have arrived at Monday 2nd March. We will drive from Viterbo with our luggage to Rome, with a detour to the beautiful thermal park Terme di Stigliano, where we can enjoy the spa at the thermal establishment and then stroll through the gardens and have lunch at the Il Ninfeo restaurant. (not included in the price).
Terme di Stigliano is known for its unique thermal water: hyperthermal sulphur-iodine water with a temperature between 38° and 55°C, rich in sulphur. It promises anti-inflammatory, detoxifying and purifying properties – and what it does in any case is to promote relaxation and increase general well-being.
At around 2pm we will continue to Rome – through the most charming countryside – where we will spend two nights at the Hotel Ponte de Sisto.
In the late afternoon we are ready to enjoy Rome again.
We now have a few hours to ourselves before we move on to the main event of the evening. We have arranged a wine tasting consisting of wines from Italy’s many provinces. A sommelier will help us taste our way through the grapes of Italy.
We have also created an exhibition that shows and celebrates Cicciolina’s life, where the protagonist herself will talk about the many facets of her life.
Questions can be asked and you are welcome to ask about anything, the sensual, the sexual, the political, the poetic and the artistic.
Sunday dinner is at the guest’s own expense, but we have a few suggestions if you want to continue until late in the evening with Cicciolina and company.
The day is yours. Maybe you want to visit the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel? The Capitoline Museums? A little shopping or just wander around the most picturesque of all cities.
At 4:30 p.m. we meet again and head towards a little-known part of Rome. We visit Monte Testaccio, a mountain, pretty much literally, of potsherds from Roman times.
Beneath Monte Testaccio is a restaurant, Checchino dal 1887, which we have rented for our last evening together.
The restaurant was inaugurated in 1887 and was located right across from Rome’s abattoirs, and many of the workers had their wages paid in the form of the entrails of the animals. These workers could therefore go straight to the restaurant and have their produce cooked for a small fee.
The owners of the establishment, Francesco and his nephew, are direct descendants of the couple who opened the place. Today the restaurant is quite stylish, you often see ministerial cars parked outside.
The dishes are still inspired from the 19th Century kitchen – you can also order more conventional alternatives.
If we’re in the mood for this after the dinner – and we probably are – we can go to one of the bars at Monte Testaccio and have a Grappa or two.
