Rome – the Eternal City, February 2024
A renaissance church will open its doors for our first evening, where the Danish/Italian opera singer Susanne Bungaard will be in charge.
We will, Saturday evening, have a sumptuous dinner at Villa Agrippina, where Nero’s mother lived. The restaurant is run by Italy’s perhaps most famous chef, Luciano Monosilio, and he has promised to create a dinner especially for us with a distinct taste of antiquity.
The evening is introduced at ‘the Vatican Suite’ by the Danish bestselling author, Eva Ravnbøl.
We have, Sunday evening, exclusive access to the Roman Empire’s largest shopping mall, Mercati di Traiano (sadly been closed since 400 AD).
The Danish Institute has invited us Monday afternoon, shortly before the Lang Lang concert. The program is compact and you can get an overview by clicking the box ‘Event in Detail’.
