An evening at the Capitoline Museum
We have arranged a trip to Rome for the days 28 February – 5 March, which is now sold out. But for the highlight of the trip, an evening at the Capitoline Museum, we still have places that we offer to anyone who is in Rome that weekend and who wants to be part of our party.
On Saturday, March 1st at 5pm we will meet at the Hotel Ponte Sisto, from where we will move to the Capitoline Museum, one of the finest museums in the world.
We have rented the entire museum Saturday evening.
We are alone at the museum and will have a guided tour of the colossal complex. After the visit to the finest from the Roman Empire, we go to the roof of the museum, where the elegant restaurant, Terrazzo Caffarelli, is located, with a fantastic view of all of Rome.
Here we will enjoy our dinner with wine pairing and where our host for the night awaits us, Ilona Staller, alias “Cicciolina”, who knows how to keep us entertained until late.
We think it will be the party of the year. And you are welcome.

Musei Capitolini - Ours for an Evening
The horse and rider, standing on the so-called Michelangelo base, are today a perfect reproduction of the bronze statue, while the genuine article awaits us at the museum itself. (also seen in the picture). If you want to be overwhelmed by antiquity, you need to meet it in peace. We have ensured that on Saturday, March 1, 2025. All 12,977 square meters are ours for one evening.
We are extremely grateful to the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Rome for making our evening possible.
Culture and Cuisine
No cultural celebration without an extraordinary culinary experience. We have also rented the entire Caffarelli terrace on the roof of the Musei Capitolini, open only for special occasions, such as state visits – and for us, of course – with an incomparable view of Rome, and we have asked one of the city’s finest catering companies to give us a once in a lifetime evening.
We can’t wait and our menu will also carry the taste of antiquity. The roof area consists of a restaurant with a roof terrace, pictured here, which we have at our disposal.

Ilona Staller, alias "Cicciolina", is our Host
Ilona Staller, better known as Cicciolina, has a long – and colourful – career behind her. She is our host for our evening at Restaurant Terrazza Caffarelli.
She was a member of the Italian parliament and party founder with unorthodox proposals to solve all sorts of political crises. She has therefore, not least due to her indisputable charisma, sat in the front row of political life in Italy for a decade.
And then she has also sat in the front row of the art world, due to her marriage to the artist Jeff Koons. Now we have two lives lived. She has also had a third life lived… as an actress. During her speech she will tell us what she has figured out about the gender that goes by the name… man.
Mrs Staller is no longer a teenager, but her flamboyance is in a class of its own. We had an interview with her in Rome recently which you can read here.
As you can see, we will not be content with the excesses of the Roman Empire in an ossified and muted form. We have brought it to life as best we can on March 1, 2025. A luxurious, opulent and sumptuous evening awaits us. It is the least we can do to honor this unparalleled civilization that we are revisiting.
